Welcome Back!
We are very excited to welcome all of our Sabres community back to school! Our staff has been working very hard to prepare the school and activities for your return.
Please review the resources below with your child(ren) prior to their first day of school to help ensure we can all have a safe and enjoyable first day.
We know that the first day is an exciting time for many and a scary time for others. In order to keep our staff, students and families safe, it is very important that no family members enter the school yard or building at any time. We will ensure all students make is safely into school.
The First Day!
On the first day of school, many staff will be available to assist students who are unsure where to go. We will unload one bus at a time and ensure that students are safely on the yard in their designated area. You may wish to show your child the map below to help re-familiarize them with the school yard.
If you are dropping your child off, please refer to the Pick up and Drop Off Routines section below. We know that families like to walk their child to their designated yard, but we are unable to have any visitors on the school yard at this time. We ask that you say a quick goodbye and we will help your child to their designated area. We know these goodbyes can be challenging, but we will do our best to help with that!

Pickup/Drop Off Routines |
||
Any families wishing to drop off and/or pick up their child(ren) daily, must use the west end of the bus lane as seen in the picture below. It is very important that only students leave the vehicle and that we move from the spot as quickly as possible. Please have your students ready with their belonging on their lap so you can say a quick goodbye and move on.
Morning Drop Off Beginning at 8:35, students can be dropped off at the front of the school. As per the policy above, please proceed to the end of the bus lane, where you will pull to the side and allow your child to get out of the car onto the sidewalk. If you need to help your child with buckles, you may get out of your car. Students will then walk around the school to the yard. We will ensure students make it to the yard safely.
After School Pick Up Once all buses have left the bus lane, you may enter the bus lane where a staff member will meet you to dismiss your child. If you arrive at the school and there are still buses present, you may either park in the parking lot and remain in your car or you may use the parking lot at the EMM church across the street until the buses have left. Please do not get out of your car.
** If you plan to drive your child every day, please let the school know. It will not be necessary for you to notify us daily. ** If you do not usually pick up your child, please write a note in the planner or let the school know ASAP. |
